Another Friday, Another Art Showcase!
My daughter, who is 10, painted this in her homeschool art class last year. We have it displayed on our piano in our dining room. The teacher asked the students to sketch and paint a scene from the Bible and my daughter decided to paint the Annunciation when the Angel Gabriel came to visit Mary to tell her she was chosen to become the mother of God's Son. The Feast of the Annunciation is celebrated each year on March 25, 9 months before Jesus' birthday. The scripture verse that my daughter wrote on the top right corner of her painting is:
"Behold, the Virgin shall be with Child, and shall bear a son."
Matthew 1:23
I am linking this artwork to Kimberly's Art Showcase at Happy Hearts Academy. Link up your child's artwork and join the fun each Friday!
Please join Lynda, Anna-Marie and myself for April's No Ordinary Blog Hop (NOBH). You can link up any or all your posts for the entire month of April. The blogger with the most posts will be awarded a Star Blogger Award! Click below for details!

Your DD is a great little artist. :-)
Thanks Kylie for stopping in and for your kind comment! Have a good weekend!
Tracy,
That painting is absolutely beautiful! I love that you have it on your piano. The piano is a great place to display things that you want to be reminded of often. Your daughter did a great job! I can't wait to show Tay! She loves checking out what your daughter has created. Not only do we have curriculum in common, but the kids ages as well. Thanks so much for linking up this week!
She did a amazing job on the painting. Glad you found a nice place to display it. SOmething you will keep forever. Have a great weekend, we are off to London today so busy busy busy.:)

Very nice! Hope you have a wonderful weekend... we are home from one soccer game with another later today. Oh, did I tell you that we did make the crown of thorns like yours? And, the parchment paper has been a hit as well! God bless!
Beautiful and talented!

Hi Annita!
Always so good to hear from you again! We had 3 soccer games today as usual. I was thankful for no rain, but it was a bit cold and windy today at the fields. So glad you made the crown of thorns and you are enjoying the parchment paper idea :) Hope your weekend is going well!
Thank you Kim for your kind comment and for stopping by!
Stopping by to vote again. You and Anna-Marie have been trading places for two weeks. =)
My sister is leaving tomorrow. I have gotten some rest, and the first three days she was here it was like an elephant was lifted from my shoulders. It has been a joy to have her here. (She can hardly wait to leave.) I will blog about it all later this week.
Have a wonderful day Tracy!
