Art Showcase and LEGO Link Up
Another Friday which means another opportunity to link up to Kimberly's Art Showcase at Happy Hearts Academy. Here is this week's art from my cupcakes:
My oldest daughter did this sketch of an angel then covered it with pieces of colored tissue paper. She completed this project in her homeschool art class she attends each week.
My 9 year old son made up a Goldfish Cartoon Story and he got his inspiration from the back of the Goldfish Cracker box.
My 6 year old daughter completed this page about cats from her Draw Write Now book.
Sidewalk Chalk Art: My kids and some neighborhood kids covered our entire driveway all this week with their chalk art! Lots of Star Wars battles were drawn and narrated! They almost used the entire bucket of chalk with their creations!
I'm linking up the following LEGO art to LEGO QUEST Challenge # 40: Create something out of LEGO that reminds you of a particular country and to Michele's LEGO Creation Thursday at My Blessings From Above.
So my 10 year old daughter made this waterfall on the left side and there is a visitors center in the upper right hand corner. It reminds her of the national parks in good ole' USA.
My 9 year old son made this which represents New York City in USA. There is the Empire State Building, museums, and the yellow round LEGO is the football stadium for the NY Giants.
My 6 year old daughter made this flag of the United States.

Your kids did great this week on their art projects. Love the angel and the comic strip is so good:) I love how neat your 6 yo handwriting is, my 6yo has horrible handwriting which I thin he inherited from his father:) Voted for you today. Have a good weekend:)
Hi Tracy!
I love all the kids art work this week. The tissue paper angel is absolutely amazing! I just love it. The tissue paper really adds to the painting. Oh my gosh, my kids are always looking at the little comic strip on the back of the fishy box! Great comic strip! I guess it wouldn't be a house with kids without that great goldfish snack. Draw Write Now is so much fun. I know Ash really enjoys working from them. The drawing of the cat is awesome, as is your little ones handwriting! Great work. I love all the lego creations, but I have to say that my favorite is the American Flag. Every time I see the Flag, I reminded of our great country and how we are blessed to be here. Thank you for linking up this week. Oh, and by the way, I can't believe our girls B-Day's are so close. Add it to our already long list of things in common! Have a wonderful day.
Happy Sunday Tracy voting for you today:)
I love looking at children's artwork. It is so raw and beautiful! Seeing your American flag made me turn around and look at the one my girls made a couple of years ago that is still hanging on the wall today. My youngest is the artist in the family and playd for hours doing art games. Enjoy it while they are young!
Hi Anna-Marie!
Thanks for stopping in. I liked your comment about how your son inherited your hubby's handwriting :) Thanks for the votes :)
HI Kimberly!
Thank you for all your nice comments about my kiddos' artwork! Yes, that is so neat that we have our children's ages in common too! Thanks for hosting the art linkup. It's been fun! :)
Hi "Wmoon"!
Thank you for stopping in and leaving a comment :) Children making the American flag is priceless and touching! Thank you for the art game link also! It looks great and I bookmarked the site :)
