(Organization) System Saturday-Cleaning Out the Fridge-Oh Joy!

OK so tonight I tackled a project I have been putting off for a loooooong time because of lack of time and motivation...cleaning the inside of my fridge and freezer!  My hubby kept gently reminding me that a clean fridge will do my body some good (and I always kept thinking that he could do his body some good by cleaning it out for me! Hee! Hee! )  But, I finally told myself that one way to motivate myself to start the clean out was to take a before photo of my fridge.  Here it is:

It's difficult to see from this photo how disorganized and dirty my fridge was...

And then when it was all done and sparkling clean I took this After photo:

Of course, it's difficult to tell from these photos the transformation, but believe me all the spills, crumbs, and old food is out of the fridge and it looks oh so lovely :)

So are you like me?  Do you put off fridge cleaning or are you a monthly cleaner that gets the job done on a more consistent schedule?

I am blessed to be able to go shopping for food and fill up my clean fridge now!  Happy cleaning!

When I was younger and had fewer children, I probably cleaned it once a month. I kid you not! Now...I'm turning red in the face thinking how long it has been. Oh the priorities really shift as one ages, don't they? Just like weight..LOL!

I really try to wipe it out each week before I get groceries, but that doesn't often happen. But a deep clean? Yikes, its been a while!!!

Hi Tracy! Our fridge could probably use a big clean up every week, but it only gets a thorough cleaning (maybe) every month. I wish my fridge was so full! I fill it (stuff it) every week, and in a day or two with my crew, it starts looking kind of bare in there! ;)

I voted. Have a great weekend! Annita

My fridge gets a deep clean about every 6 weeks. I wish it was more often (a little OCD on my part), but you do what you can. Yours looks great, and just think how much fun it is to look in there. I love that feeling. :) I clicked votes for you. Hope you have a great party tomorrow.

Hi Patty!
I too remember cleaning my house in general alot more when I had fewer children and I used to think back then that I didn't have alot of time to clean! Ha! Yes, priorities and time management does change with growing families!
Have a great day and I stopped by your blog and left comments on your recent great posts! I love Grandma Clare's ice skating story!

Hi Jen!
Wiping out the fridge regularly is a good idea. It would make the once in a blue moon deep cleaning that I do not so bad :)
Have a blessed day!

Hi Annita!
We seem to not be able to keep food in our pantry and fridge long enough either because my kids seem to be always hungry and eating!
I hope you are having a great week!

Hi Lynda!
You're good to clean out your fridge every 6 weeks or so! I need to get on a more regular routine with cleaning! Thanks for the votes :) and I voted for you!
