Disney Day 2: Hollywood Studios on Tuesday (5/27/14)

Disney Day 1 at Magic Kingdom was a fun, full day and we were looking forward to Day 2!  We arrived at Hollywood Studios for Disney Day 2.  Our family wore blue shirts for the day.  I bought my Cupcakes Disney shirts at our local JCPenny store that were on clearance and then my husband and I just wore blue t-shirts to go with the color for the day.

We loved the tour that explained how they use backdrops like these in the movies to make it look like you are really in a big city.  Fascinating!

Our 6 year old daughter really loved the "Honey, I Shrunk the Kids" playground.   My other kids, not so much...They kept saying "Mom, do I have to get on that ant for a picture?!?"  Yep!  :)

We enjoyed watching the "Beauty and the Beast Musical."  I'd say my son survived it :)

We really enjoyed the different stunt shows we saw!  This one had lots of fast cars, action, and fire!  My son liked this much better than Beauty and the Beast Musical. :)

Indiana Jones was very entertaining, as well!

In the afternoon, we went back to our resort and rested a few hours since we were all tired from the late night at Magic Kingdom on Disney Day 1.  I snapped these photos of our little Minnie Mouse as she enjoyed looking at herself in the mirrors that were behind our beds.

After we rested and cooled down in the AC, we went back to Hollywood Studios in the evening.

While we were walking past the popular "Toy Story" ride, we snapped this picture with one of the army men from the movie.

We made it to the "Fantasmic" show (which family, friends, and strangers raved about) an hour early to get seats.  It was very entertaining and worth the wait.  Lots of music, colorful costumes, and fun!

As soon as "Fantasmic" ended we raced to the "Toy Story" ride which had a 2 hour wait during the day.  One more tip we learned at Disney is to try to go to popular rides as soon as a big show ends since the big shows attract a lot of people and the lines for the rides tend to be short.  So the park closed at 10:00 PM, so we jumped on the Toy Story ride by 9:45 PM with no wait  It was a fun ride that our entire family enjoyed, even the baby!  It was even more enjoyable without the long lines!

Another Disney Day has ended...We hit the sack looking forward to Disney Day 3

Or...skip the parade at night in the Magic Kingdom...you can get on any ride you want during the parade! :)

Thanks for stopping in Charles! Glad you enjoyed some of the glimpses and highlights of our trip through my post :) Writing these Disney posts brings back a flood of fun memories and moments! I hope you get to go back with your family someday! I hope our family can go back too! :)

Mary,

I like your thinking, but Fantasmic was worth watching and rushing to another ride right after it was over :) Our children really enjoyed the sights and sounds of it! Thanks for stopping in to comment and read the post!
