7 Quick Takes: Lost
About 2 years ago I did a post on our Milk Art. Can you believe this is a close up picture of milk and food coloring? It's a cool and easy experiment if you ever want something cool and easy to do with your family!
I
think my milk art photo above sums up how I'm feeling a lot lately. I
won't go into details. I'll just say that I have a lot of ideas and thoughts swirling
through my head these days, like the colors that are swirling in my photo.
So it seems I'm always lost in thought or distracted and that could be why I misplaced my phone for an entire 24 hours IN.MY.HOME. this week! Yep, I was about to go crazy looking for it. I had my kids searching for it too. It seemed to disappear! It didn't help that I had my phone on silent so I couldn't hear it when I called it over and over and over again! I sat on the couch getting ready for our morning Couch Catechism time Thursday morning and I prayed with my children, "Please dear Lord, give us the wisdom to know where to find my stinkin' phone!" Just as I was praying out loud, my son looked under the couch where I was sitting to get a toy and he yells, "I found it!" I couldn't believe it, especially since my husband and I both looked under that same couch at least 2 times each! I did feel lost without having access to phone numbers, emails, and social media while I was looking for my phone.
To try to not feel so lost in my vocation as a homeschool Mom, I just started reading Story of a Soul: The Autobiography of St. Therese of Lisieux to try to get insight and answers. For several reasons, I have had a strong connection with this young, beautiful Saint, who was born in France in 1873. I'm still trying to figure out why I have been so drawn to her "little way." I have some idea, but I want to learn more about her.
I'm feeling lost right now in blog land as I am trying to switch over from Blogger to WordPress template. So my blog here may have a different look in the future! I'm excited and nervous all at the same time! I'm grateful for great blogging friends that know more about the technical side of designing blogs than I do! Thanks H.B. for the inspiration and help!

Apparently, I'm not the only blogger who seems lost/frustrated with tech issues in blog land. Monica over at Equipping Catholic Families just wrote a post about All I need to learn about blogging...I learned this week. I am a big fan of Monica's blog as she creates the most amazing resources for Catholic families to help spread the faith. I learned a lot from reading all that she learned about blogging this week!
It's late and I'm lost for any more Quick Takes so it's time to sign off. For more Quick Takes visit Conversion Diary.

The milk art looks fun. As a Word Press user I look forward to seeing your blog over on the new platform...selfishly, it makes commenting way easier for me! :)
Hi Kathleen!
Thanks for stopping in and commenting! The milk art is a neat activity! Ah this transfer from Blogger to WP is a lot to take in at one time, but I'm looking forward to the change and having it easier for WP users to comment, like yourself :)
Hi Tracy, you will have to let me know how the transition is to word press, it have thought about it but don't have the time to figure out how to do it...clicked a vote for you..Leah is gettin so big so fast
Hi Anna-Marie!
This WP transition is going to have to be put on hold since, like you, I don't have the time to try to learn a new template :-/ Thanks for stopping by and for the vote :)
