this sounds lovely. There is nothing like fresh hot homemade bread with butter. YUM! What a great idea to decorate the alter at church. I just love hearing about your faith and church because it is so different from the Lutheran church:) Voted for you today:)
Hi Anna-Marie!
Homemade bread with butter is so addictive and delicious for sure! :) We actually decorate an "altar" in one of our homeschool family's homes, not at our church, but more information to come on the history of St. Joseph altars in a future post so stay tuned :)
Hi Tracy,
I love this idea! The baked palm branch is my favorite. I am going to be using this idea this year with the kids as I am getting a new bread machine this weekend. The Altar looks amazing! Thanks for sharing.
Kimberly
Looks like a great tradition to celebrate with your group!
HI Kimberly! A new bread machine sounds like fun! I will be posting more about the St. Joseph Feast Day and altar after our celebration in March so stay tuned :) I plan on linking up to your Art Showcase link soon! Great idea!
Hi Renee Ann,
This has become a wonderful, fun and faith-filled experience for our children and I can't wait to write a future blog post giving more details about this tradition and how it started. Thanks for your visit and comment :)
Wonderful designs :) Love this idea !!!
Tracy, these are absolutely fabulous pictures!!!! Thank you for sharing your traditions and you always do it in such a lovely way for folks who are not Catholic. God bless!
Mmmmm. Yummy Fun!
I linked to you in my blog entry!
What a fun time the kids look they are having! The palm branch looks pretty cool! Thanks for hosting NOBH with the other ladies!
Love all the creative breads! Visiting from Patty's!
Your homeschool group sounds wonderful...what a blessing. These are some amazing creations! Thank you for sharing:-)
You are so lucky to have a great homeschooling group to met with. I wish we had that here. Voted for you today:)
Hi Tracy! My family is still sick. I came over to vote for you, but did not spend a lot of time on the computer this week. We had no school, and I tried to get some sleep when I could.
My son is much better at being sick than my mom is. I spent most of my week nursing her and trying to make her comfortable. I am looking forward to next week and a healthy family.
Have a great weekend.
Hi Lynda,
I'm sorry your family still has sickness :( No fun! Thank you for stopping by and commenting despite your hectic schedule. I hope you have been able to catch up on some sleep! Hopefully, this week will be a much healthier and happier one for your family!
Hi Tammy!
It's great to hear from you! Thanks so much for stopping by and commenting! I hope you are having a great weekend!
HI Patty!
Thank you for your kind comments and thanks for stopping by to visit!
Hi Kimberly!
Thank you for your visit and comment and thanks for the mention of my blog on your post! That was a lovely surprise! :)
Hi Lindsey,
The palm branch was a favorite for our group and my blog visitors too! It was made by the mom who hosted the breadmaking :) It's funny to observe each year how the boys and girls start out on task making their designs then the boys usually go off and play rather quickly when they are done designing and the girls are still making designs. Boys and girls are so different when it comes to "crafty" projects-it's fun to observe the differences :)
Thanks for your continued link ups to NOBH!
Hi Mary!
Thanks for stopping by and commenting! I just hopped to your blog and left a comment! I'm your newest follower! Have a blessed weekend!
Hi Tiffany!
Thank you for your visit and nice comments! Our homeschool group is relatively small, but the families in our group are life-savers when it comes to receiving support, love and encouragement! I hope you are having a great weekend!
Hi Anna-Marie!
I have enjoyed the families in our group and it is a blessing to have them. I hope you are able to find other homeschoolers close by where ever your next adventure takes you! Thanks for your visit and vote!
