Art Showcase-Online Art Class
It's that time again to link up some artwork to Kimberly's Friday Art Showcase Link Up. This week I am linking up pencil drawings that my three older cupcakes did and I got in on the fun and drew something too!
We recently purchased the Mark Kistler Online Art Classes at a really good price through Homeschool Buyers Co-Op ! You can get 3 years of online lessons for $39.60 through Homeschool Buyer's Co-Op! The offer expires on June 30, 2011!
So I plan on having art lessons through these fun and great art videos that shows you step by step how to draw all kinds of drawings. Our family especially likes the "Stop" button on the videos so we can always pause the lesson to take a longer time to sketch each part of the drawing. So this week we did the following:
My 9 year old son was so proud to sketch this birthday cake that includes a little door at the bottom.
My soon to be 7 year old daughter drew this birthday cake complete with a self portrait.
My 11 year old daughter drew this cute koala bear with a little man on the top of its head.
This was my sketch of the koala bear.
There is lots going on over at No Ordinary Blog Hop (NOBH) with new and old friends, more great co-hosts, and categories to link your posts. Click button below to join in on the fun!

Great drawings! I am going to look into that. My one daughter (9) feels frustrated because she finds drawing difficult. Have a wonderful weekend! +JMJ+
Hi Tracy!
Oh my goodness, what amazing drawings this week. All the kids have done a great job! I love the Birthday cakes, especially the little door at the bottom of your 9 year olds. Also, the self portrait is beautiful. The Koala Bear is great. Cupcake 1 did awesome work, as did Mommy! Thank you for linking up this week. The kids just finished the Koala lesson as well as the treasure chest lesson. They had so much fun. I am glad you told me about this program.
Wow! You have some great artists, and you did a really great job on yours too. This looks like a wonderful program. I am going to look into these lessons again. I wasn't sure we wanted to add another art curriculum, but maybe my son would like this better. Have fun in Tenn. I look forward to hearing all about your trip when you get back.
Great pictures :) I love your koala bear sketch!
Hi Annita!
I hope if you look into the program you'll like it and your children will enjoy it too! I will have to say that my 6 year old daughter, soon to be 7, did cry and get upset when she tried to make the koala picture for the first time. She was upset she couldn't draw the ears "right".
Hi Kimberly,
Thank you for the nice comments and I'm glad your family is enjoying the program also :)
Thanks Lynda! I hope your son likes this program if you decide to use it :)
Thanks Mary! :)
