A Berry Good Day with Friends!
Just 5 minutes from our home is a farm that grows strawberries and blueberries. They also sell a variety of plants and flowers. You can pick the strawberries/blueberries or buy some that have already been picked. The farm also sells homemade ice cream with yummy flavors: strawberry, blueberry, blackberry, banana, and vanilla to name a few. Here are some photos of a recent trip to the farm that we took with some friends:
Blueberries: This Way
My daughter carefully picking off blueberries.
In the background are the blueberry bushes and in the foreground are the rows of strawberry plants that we enjoyed picking as well!
Then after all that hard work, my kids enjoy sitting down for a delicious cup of homemade ice cream.
This is such a lovely farm and a very popular one because if its delicious fruit and ice cream! We are thankful to have a great place to go that is so close to our home!
Speaking of strawberries, check out the Joys of Home Educating where Melissa blogged about a berry cute party she recently hosted!

That looks like a great time! We have a great variety of different farms to pick from here also. I was hoping to take the kids this week picking, but Molly is under the weather 8(
Thanks for linking back to our party! Watch the blog for Friday...I am hosting a Moms Night In on Thursday Night and it turning out FAB!
HI Tracy! This looks like an amazing farm. I have been wanting to make strawberry jam with the kids, how cool it would be if they were able to pick their own berries. The kids look like they had an super fun time. The pictures of berries sure do make me hungry. Homemade strawberry ice cream, yummy! I am going to have to have my Dad pull his ice cream machine out next weekend and whip some up for us. He makes some pretty good ice cream. I laugh as I read about your amazing day, as we are here in Ca, in the middle of a pretty bad thunder storm. I guess we are a little confused out here as to what season it is. Anyway, great pictures and great memories. Thanks for sharing.
Have a blessed week!
Hi Tracy, I am back up and commenting now that I've upgraded to Google Chrome. I wish they'd warned me about the issues if I didn't. Oh well, all is good.
Your children seemed to love the berry picking! I'm not sure where we can do that around the midwest. I'll have to check into it.
Hi Melissa,
I'm sorry Molly is not feeling well :( I hope she feels better soon! I will have to read your Friday blog post when I get back from vacation!
HI Kimberly,
I've never made strawberry jam, but it sounds so delicious! I hope you get to make homemade ice cream too! I hope the storms in CA pass quickly!
HI Noreen,
Great to hear from you again! Thanks for stopping by and commenting! I loved your book review about the sacraments and I left a comment under the post!
