Good Friday Reflection, Art Showcase, and Feature Yourself Friday
You can refer to my Palm Sunday post that I wrote at the beginning of Holy Week to find more links to the Triduum and Good Friday.
My dear friend, Lynda, at My Heart's Desire, recently posted this photo and the video, The Hill of Crosses, about the history of Lithuania and The Hill of the Crosses. This story is amazing and I thought it was appropriate to share especially today when Jesus suffered and died for each one of us on the cross. Click HERE to view the video via Lynda's blog since I couldn't get it embedded onto my blog post.
Speaking of crosses and Good Friday, I thought I would share this art piece that my 10 year old daughter made last year in her homeschool art class. She made it out of different colors and types of beans and I'm linking this artwork to Kimberly's Art Showcase.
On this Good Friday, I have a Feature Yourself Friday post on a great blog, ABC & 123, a learning cooperative.

Hi Tracy,
I love the video! I also love the project your daughter made. The colorful beans really make the cross stand out. Amazing work! Thank you so much for linking up this week. I always look forward seeing what the kids have created. I hope you have a Happy Easter! We went to Mass tonight for Holy Thursday. It was amazing! Anyway have a great day today. Talk to you soon!
Hi Tracy, I love that video and was planning on using it on my blog and thought... I don't want to copy Tracy again! So, I chose another one that has beautiful music but it's lacking the reflection. Have a Blessed Easter!
I love your daughter's artwork. My older sister did something like this when she was a girl, but your daughter's turned out much prettier. lol
Thanks for posting on such a beautiful story. I'm sorry you couldn't get the video on your blog. Have a blessed Easter weekend!
HI Kimberly!
Thank you for viewing the video! I thought it was beautiful and wanted to share it with others! Thanks for hosting the art showcase linkup. My kids enjoy seeing their pieces on my blog :) Our Holy Thursday Mass was beautiful also :) Hope you are having a blessed Easter weekend!
Hi Noreen,
You could have used the same video..you wouldn't have been "copying" me :) I am going to check out the video you used. Have a blessed Easter!
HI Lynda!
Thanks for your nice comment about my daughter's cross :) I wish I could have put the cross video on my blog, but I'm glad I was able to link up to your post about it :) Have a blessed Easter!
Hi Tracy,
I read this a few days ago but didn't have time to comment. This weekend is crazy busy and I am just now catching up:) I loved the Hill of crosses video. It has been added to my many places I wish to visit:) Your oldest did a great job on her mosaic. It is so good you found an art class for her. I lack that in our school, something I hope to add in the near future.
HI Anna-Marie,
Thanks for stopping by and commenting! I understand about the crazy weekend, same here! Lots of fun, but full of activity and non stop! I have a "wish list" of things I would like to do with my kids when it comes to homeschooling. I hope that if an opportunity comes for your kids to take "formal" art classes, it will be something that will be fun for your kids and you. Have a blessed week!
Visiting via ABC123. I really like the cross made out of beans. Next year we'll have to try one of your Resurrection recipes.
