Happy Birthday Jesus!
Each year since our children were very small, we have decorated a birthday cake for Jesus and we sing "Happy Birthday" to Him on Christmas Day. My children and their cousins love to sprinkle (dump) lots of sprinkles and multi-colored sugar crystals on the cake. Then we place a small plastic manger with baby Jesus in it in the middle of the cake. Here is a picture of our oldest Cupcake decorating a cake when she was 2 1/2 years old:
Here are pictures of my Cupcakes and cousins decorating away a few years ago:

Love that tradition! If I don't get back over, wanted to wish you a very blessed, holy, and happy Christmas. Your family photo is beautiful!
Looks great and love the Silly shot! Merry Christmas!
Merry CHRISTmas Smith family!!!
Tracy, I hope you, your husband, and all your little "cupcakes" have a wonderful day. God bless you!
We are baking and frosting our Jesus cake today:) We also sing Happy Birthday to baby Jesus. My kids love doing this:) May your family have a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!!
How fun to make a serious and silly photo! Your children will remember that as they grow up. I think it's extra special too that the kids are decorating Jesus' cake! You do a wonderful job of sharing your faith with your children!
What a wonderful tradition! We do the same thing, here. :-) My 13 year old baked the Lord's birthday cake this year and we put "2011" in candles on top and sang Happy Birthday to Jesus on Christmas. I just put pics of it up on my blog.
I hope you have a New year that is filled with nothing but love and joy!
God bless,
Lisa
