(Organization) System Saturday-Homeschooler + Aquarium = HUGE Discounted Admission Price!!!
One reason we went to MB was to use the free ticket I won on Ripley's Aquarium of Myrtle Beach Facebook fan page and this awesome aquarium gives a HUGE discount on admissions for adults and children if you are a homeschooling family!
Normally, tickets are $18.99/adult, $9.99/children ages 6-11, and $3.99/children ages 2-5. This can be an expensive outing for any family, especially for our family of six. But, since we homeschool, I just have to go to the guest service desk just inside the aquarium and show them proof that I homeschool. In our case, I showed them our T.O.R.C.H. membership card. If you do not belong to a local homeschool group in your area, you can probably also show them a membership card from the state that you registered as a homeschool family. So by showing them my T.O.R.C.H. card, adult and children's tickets were $6.50 each and our 2 year old was $2.50!!!!! WOW! That's a BIG savings and I am grateful that Ripley's Aquarium provides discounted admissions for homeschool families to their fun aquarium.
So my (Organization) System Saturday tip is to be sure to organize your wallet well enough to access your homeschool membership card easily and ask if attractions, like aquariums, museums, etc. or office supply stores, like Staples or Office Max, give discounts for homeschool families. (As a homeschool parent, you can register for a Teacher Rewards card from Staples and Office Max and receive the same great deals as a traditional classroom teacher). Paying less for field trips and school supplies is one of the many blessings of homeschooling our family.

Looks like you had loads of fun :-)
Hi Kylie! Thanks for stopping by and for your comment! We had a fun time. Maybe I should have also written how wonderful it was to be the first to arrive at the aquarium at 9 AM when it opened to beat the huge crowds that fill the aquarium so quickly. Getting out to get there early takes some organization :)
Hi Tracy... I sent you some more pictures just for fun. I try to vote every time I stop by... I'll go vote now! +JMJ+
