Recommendation for Great Saint Books for Young Readers!
I am thankful for great Saint books that I can read to my children during our homeschooling days!
Are you looking for a book that tells the lives of Saints that young children (and adults) can understand and appreciate? Great 2 Volume Saint books that I highly recommend are published by Pauline Books and Media and they are titled, Saints for Young Readers for Every Day, Volumes 1 and 2.
Volume 1 features a life of a Saint for every day from January through June. A wonderful array of Saints: women and men, teenagers and children of every ethnicity, age, and situation of life imaginable are presented.
Volume 2 completes the year with a story of a Saint for every day from July through December. These friends of God are wonderful role models for every young reader.
I try to read one Saint story daily to my children from these books. The stories are only about 1-2 pages long and we have all learned so much about the numerous men, women, and children that have sacrificed so much. These are the role models I pray my children will look up to as they grow in their faith. If you are looking for stories of Saints' lives that young children (and adults) can understand and enjoy, I would definitely recommend these books!
You can find these 2 Volumes also at Amazon HERE. If you choose to purchase them through my Amazon affiliate link, I will receive a small percentage back and be oh so grateful for the support!

(Not quite) Wordless Wednesday-I am Thankful for My New Blog Banner
I am thankful for...my new blog banner that Lynda at My Heart's Desire made especially for my blog! She surprised me with this great gift! Thank you Lynda for the time and effort you put into making such a wonderful, creative graphic for my blog!

I am also thankful for...Lynda's ability to design such awesome buttons for our "Thankful Hearts-No Ordinary Blog Hop". She is the blog button queen and she has worked so hard on making such fun and beautiful buttons for our hop and it was her wonderful idea to have a blog hop that lasts for the entire month of November! What a great idea and it has been fun getting to know Lynda and hosting a hop with her and Anna-Marie!
So what are you thankful for? Come link up to our "No Ordinary Blog Hop-Thankful Hearts November 2010" and help spread the word because so many have so much to be thankful for!

I am Thankful for All Saint's Day and Join Us for No Ordinary Blog Hop
Do you have something to be thankful for?
I am sure you do, and I am also hoping you will post about what you're thankful for the whole month of November. Then you can join Lynda, Anna-Marie, and myself, and many others in the "No Ordinary Blog Hop" called the Thankful Hearts November 2010 Blog Hop.
How do you participate and what are the rules of this blog hop? It really is very easy.
One of the Thankful Hearts November 2010 Blog Hope Rules is to post about what you are thankful for beginning with this phrase: I am thankful for...
So I am thankful for...the celebration of All Saint's Day today with my homeschool group. I am thankful for the past, present, and future saints in Heaven and on earth that continue to bear witness for my Catholic faith no matter the cost.
Today my children, along with their friends, dressed in saint costumes and played some fun Saint games!
Saint Cecilia, holding a harp because she is the patroness of music/Saint Luke, with a doctor's coat and stethoscope because he is known as the great physician/St. Elizabeth of Hungary, a princess and patron of young brides
Thanks to Lacy at Catholic Icing, we made this veil to dress as Blessed Mother Teresa for my youngest daughter, but she did not want to be "saintly" and wear the veil or be in any pictures so my oldest is wearing it to show that this idea from Lacy is easy and adorable (especially if your child wants to wear it)
So what are you thankful for? We invite you to join this "No Ordinary Blog Hop." To see what the Thankful Hearts Blog Hop is all about just click our beautiful button below. After reading the details, please join us. I look forward to hopping to your blog, and becoming a follower.

Hello! Thank you for your Visit!
I'm Tracy. I love my faith, family and on most days, homeschooling my 5 blessings. When I'm not busy baking cakes for my family or making memories in real life or dreaming I had a housekeeper or professional chef, I enjoy documenting a slice of Smith life in blog land.
