AHG Father/Daughter(s) Dance
Last weekend on Saturday, Feb. 8, 2014, my 3 older daughters and my hubby had a blast at their first American Heritage Girls (AHG) Father/Daughter Dance! I helped set up the dance along with several other dedicated mommas and I stayed at the dance with the baby and took some pictures of the fun night! Here's some shots I was able to get as my hubby danced the night away with his darling daughters:
Corsages for the Dads
I made this board so that each girl could write on a heart-shaped Post-It why they love their Dad...
Photo Booth Fun!
Thank you Kelly at Anchored in Love for the fun and memories!
It was a fun night for my hubby and his darling daughters! I also enjoyed chatting with the Mommas outside the dance room (and snapping pictures when I could!) :)
Thanks for stopping in to visit!

What a great dad! It looks like you all had a fun time.
Thanks Lynda for visiting and commenting! It was a fun and silly night for sure! :)
OH sweet and precious!! Love all the pictures. Memories that will last a lifetime for sure!
BTW, did y'all rent a facility for that event?
Do you like AHG? I found a troop around where we live and it really seems like a good program
Hi Patty!
Thanks for stopping for a visit and commenting! The dance was held in a room at the same church we have our AHG meetings twice/month. Not sure if there was a cost involved to reserve the room space, but the church charters our AHG troop.
Hi "The Kibbes!"...This is our first year in AHG, but the troop's second year in existence. I like AHG in that all the age groups meet all together, then split off in age groups so since I have my 3 older girls in the troop, all of us go to the meetings twice/month. It is Christian with scripture devotions and I like that everything is family oriented so camp outs/activities are all open to the entire family. I would love to start a Catholic Little Flowers group in our area, but I just don't have the time or the numbers to start one right now. For now, we are enjoying AHG and its strong family values and although we are only one of a few Catholic families in the troop, I have not felt this has been an issue, which is a blessing. Alot of the girls in our troop are homeschooled which is nice to have my girls meet others outside our Catholic Homeschool group. Thanks for stopping in and for your question about AHG :)
Looks like everyone had a blast!! Our Troop had a 50's theme, and it was neat to see the girls in Poodle skirts and the dads dressed like the T-Birds from Grease :)
If you are on Facebook, please 'Like' the American Heritage Girls National Catholic Committee Facebook Page. https://www.facebook.com/AHGNCC
And please feel free to pass this on to everyone in your Troop, and thank you for all you to do help girls grow through Catholic Scouting!
