Prayers for Japan and Art Showcase
Before I begin this post, I want to say that my thoughts and prayers are with all those who have been affected by the earthquakes and tsunamis in Japan today. I cannot imagine the terror and devastation that so many are experiencing. May God give them strength.
Today is Friday, which means another great opportunity to link up to Kimberly's Art Showcase, where it's fun to post some creations by my children.
Our 10 year old daughter painted this still life picture that we have displayed on our kitchen counter. She did this painting in her homeschool art class she attends.
Our 9 year old son made this mural a while ago and he was so proud of it that it is hanging on his wall in his room. He traced different animals and glued them to a scene he drew.
Here is a close-up of part of the scene in the lower right hand corner.
Our 6 year old drew and painted this peace picture.
And just today at the beginning of our homeschool day, my older kids caught our 3 year old making this cute face on our wall calendar. Our 3 year old was grinning from ear to ear as she was so proud of herself. I think we were all impressed and I didn't know she knew how to draw a face until I saw this! :)

Hi Tracy,
I love all the art projects. I love the happy face! Your daughter's painting is absolutely beautiful. She is very talented! How very creative of your son to make his own mural. I love it! Awesome peace sign. Thank you so much for adding the kids amazing creations to the Art Showcase. I am having fun checking out everyones work. Have a wonderful evening!
Great art work from the kids:) So fun when you know your little one can draw a smiley face:)
I tried to talk my kids into building a lego rocket or something space related last night, they said they would think about it:(. I may get the lego out today and start it on my own and see if they will join in.
I didn't hear about the Tsunami until late last night. It was awful to see some of the news coverage and the destruction.
You have a few artists in your home!

Thank you Kimberly for hosting the link up and for your kind comments about the art work! It's been fun linking up and seeing all the beautiful creations! Hope you are having a blessed weekend!
Hi Anna-Marie!
Thank you for your kind comments and I hope your kids get into LEGO and enjoy it :)
The tsunamis and earthquake coverage is so hard to watch as we continue to pray for all those affected.
Hi Kim,
They enjoy art very much and like to create any chance they can get! Thank you for stopping in and leaving your nice comment!
I think you have some real artists there - the pictures and ideas for the pictures show real creativity.
Thank you Zelda for stopping by and commenting! It is so fun to see how kids come up with some of the most creative pieces! :)
