October 2 is the Feast Day of our Holy Guardian Angels. It is a day to remember how our guardian angels protect, guide and lead us on our life's journey.
Last year I set up this table centerpiece for this special day.

This year my preschooler made a simple angel craft, one my older children have done before. She wanted to paint in the outline of her hands vs. get her hands wet with paint for handprint wings.
We have done a few angel crafts in the past in 2014 and 2015 if you would like some other ideas.
Some of our favorite angelic books are:
Saints and Angels: Popular Saints of Familiar Saints
Angel in the Waters (This was also a great book to read when we did our Defend Life Lesson.)
We also watched CCC of America's My Secret Friend, A Guardian Angel Story. My children have grown up with these DVDs from CCC of America's Saints and Heroes series and they are enjoyed by all!
Lacy at Catholic Icing has 10 Ways to Celebrate the Feast Day of Guardian Angels if you would like several more ideas to celebrate this beautiful feast day.
Angel of God, my Guardian Dear,
to whom God's love commits me here,
ever this day be at my side,
to light and guard, to rule and guide.
Amen.
Our Holy Guardian Angels, protect and guide us!
