I got this great spicy chili recipe from on of my favorite crock pot recipe books titled, Fix-It and Forget-It, 5-ingredient favorites, Comforting Slow-Cooker Recipes. This has been a great meal for us. It's a quick and delicious dinner to get on the table after a long evening of soccer practices. I usually serve this with tortilla chips and a vegetable side dish.
Because this book is copyrighted, I am not able to post the recipe ingredients and directions on this post. Our family has enjoyed this chili very much and I recommend the book because it has lots of easy and delicious crock-pot recipes in it.

I like crock pot things, but my husband is not a fan. Maybe this would work?
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing the recipe. I have seen that book and have wanted to try it butI am never sure if I am going to use it much since I look so much up on the internet.

I meant thanks for sharing the idea ..not the recipe. I hate that you can't edit comments after you press POST..sorry!

Hi Lisa!
ReplyDeleteIt seems I collect recipe books thinking I'll make time to flip through them to try out all the recipes, but I seem to never get around to using the books as much as I should. I have found a few good recipes in this book that we have tried and liked, so to me this makes my purchase worthwhile. You're right, there is so much on the web these days, it's hard to justify buying books, but sometimes it's easier to look at a book vs. jump on the computer.
Glad you liked the idea and I wish I could have posted the recipe, but I didn't want the "blog police" to come after me :)
Have a blessed day and thanks for following my blog :)
Thanks for buzzing by my blog for Following Friday! Returning the love! I like crockpot recipes, maybe I'll check out the book!~ Busy Buzzer Buzzing the Day Away
ReplyDeleteThanks "Busy Buzzer" for your visit, comment and follow back :) Crockpot recipes are great aren't they? I just checked out your homeschool "Adventum Academy" blog and I love how you chose the name :) We're learning Latin in our homeschool so I'm glad to learn a new word for our list :)
ReplyDeleteHave a "bee"utiful day ! ;)
Hi Tracy! Is there rice in the chili? We love chili, and I make a couple variations of it, which I let simmer in the crock pot all day. Would privately e-mailing the recipe present a problem? That would be like neighbors exchanging recipes, right? Or, could you just answer if that is rice... I could experiment on my own (I love rice!). Have a good evening! ~~Annita +JMJ+
ReplyDeleteHi Annita!
ReplyDeleteNo, I didn't use rice in this recipe. I did use ground turkey instead of hamburger meat :)
I will send you an email with more "top secret" recipe details :)
Great to hear from you again!
Have a blessed night/day!
Ah, rats! I thought that might be interesting (kind of like red beans and rice from when I lived in Louisiana as a kid). I'd still like the recipe when you have time! Peace
ReplyDeleteHi Annita!
ReplyDeleteI hope you enjoy the recipe I sent :) Thanks for your email!
